The Final Score: Is Michael Carrick running out of time at Manchester United?

I think quite frankly the fact that Manchester United have won just two of their ten games across all competitions this season is already telling.

And it was the same in the 90 minutes.

Leeds were the better team for about 60 minutes.

Manchester United showed up fleetingly in glimpses, got the goal, never good enough to hold on to the lead.

And we're at a stage where one point away to Leeds is something to celebrate.

That's where Manchester United are at the moment.

Listeners, what do you think? 88550893.

Manchester United fans, Manchester United haters, we want to hear from you.

Is this a slippery slope? Are they ever going to turn the corner? Is it the board? Is it the manager? Is it the players? Is it the sporting director, Jason Wilcox? Where does blame lie when it comes to Manchester United? Look, I was Michael Carrick's most staunch defender ever.

I'm still trying to support him.

I think you have to give young managers a chance.

Michael Carrick cannot be blamed for hiring Michael Carrick.

I know that sounds ridiculous, but he can't.

A workman is only as good as his tools.

This is not a great squad.

And I know we keep hearing, Raul Chan, ah, well, they've spent the same amount as Arsenal.

Yes, but Arsenal are getting two or three great players.

And Manchester United get four or five also-rans and cast-offs.

They're just not shopping at the same level of supermarket as Arsenal.

But I take a different point of view in the sense where Arsenal are competing right at the top of the table.

As a Manchester United fan, I just want my team to compete.

At the moment, they're not even doing that.

Bruno Fernandes is a shadow of the player that won Player of the Year last season.

Apart from that hat-trick against Ipswich, he basically hasn't shown up at all.

A lot was made of this past week for Michael Carrick and his tenure at Manchester United.
