The Lambert family survived The Further together. So why does *Insidious: The Red Door* begin with everything falling apart? For the final movie in our Further into the Further event, we’re talking…
I really loved this family, so I did not want to see them broken up.
I thought it was pretty clever using what they did that they thought was going to save them in the second one to actually be the problem.
We made it out.
This one felt more like the last movie, the last key, than it did the first three.
Yeah.
And I think it's because both of them spend a little more time on the story and a little bit of the mystery and less on the scares.
Yeah, I mean, once the scares start happening, they start happening.
But it takes about 35 minutes for the scares to start.
And I think maybe this is where we differ a little bit in that I appreciated them setting up the family story a little bit more.
I'm with you in that I didn't like some of the choices that they made, but I think it set the proper weight for the movie and for what was going to unfold.
I'm sorry, the beginning put me in a mood.
As a lot of movies do.
Yeah.
That's
not true.
Just your movies.
