144 - Keeping Monster Reticulated Pythons with Paul Lucas - The Expert and The Idiot

You know, I look at some of these animals like green tree python keepers, they put them in a two by two cube and people are like, okay, that's good.

Or a three by two cube.

And it's like, well, they don't move that much.

Okay.

Well, in the wild, they have the whole world to move around.

So why is it that like, I'm giving my snake a very, very, very large cage.

It's almost the size of a small bedroom.

Not okay.

But yet you're giving your very small species and even smaller cage to move around.

I mean, green tree python, four feet, you know, an adult, what, four or five feet long, you're giving it a three foot cage.

It can't even fully extend its body.

But I'm the bad guy because I give my snake a 10 by four or by three that it can, you know, fully extend and it can, you know, sit there without feeling like it's, you know, its sides are busting out the, you know, its coils are busting out the sides like nothing's touching them.

You know,

you man, you're a hypocrite.

Now, I do know how to breed these animals.

I do know how to sex these animals.

I do know what to look for in these animals and how to take care of them.

You know, my snakes really don't get sick.

Is that luck? Maybe.

Or is it just because my husband's injury is on par? Like when I clean my cages, it's not spa cleaning.

I pull everything out.

I F10 it.

Then I go behind it with other stuff.

Are you cleaning your cages like this? Or are you just wiping it down and calling it clean? I mean, I clean the shit out of my cages.
