Mayor Burke And Some Extra Cash

There's a lot of commerce there.

So I'll just say I have been into Evergreen Social numerous times.

And actually, Clerk Duffy and I hosted our Village Hall employee Christmas party there.

Yeah.

In the Dungeons and Dragons room.

And we didn't ruin the table.

So that was good.

But it was really fun.

The food is great.

And everybody had a great time.

They couldn't have been better hosts for us.

But also, you bring something up because we just approved at...

At the board meeting Monday night, we just approved a business license for Einstein Bagels.

Oh, really? Einstein Brothers Bagels to go into that plaza.

They're taking part of the old mattress store.

Okay.

So I don't have a time frame for when they're going to open.

They obviously have to do a little construction and get some cooking equipment in there and stuff, but...

We did approve the license on Monday, so I'm super excited for that.

There's a lot going on right there in that very concentrated area there.

And I always find that I have to explain to people that are east of Kedzie what's on the west side, and people that are on the west side of Kedzie what's on the east side of Kedzie, which is always very strange to me because I go all over the village.

You and me both.

But you know it.

There are people.

like you see and you go, I never see them over on the other side.
