What if one simple question each day could completely change the way you manage your energy, stress, and wellbeing? In this practical and empowering solo episode, Ilana shares one of the most…
Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, "Where is my energy out of 10 today?" So rating your energy each day.
Not how busy you are, or not how much you've ticked off your list or got done.
You know, not how much, you know, you've given to others or helped others, but simply how much energy do I have today? This is one of the first questions and discussions I have with my clients and the people that I work with, and it's one of the most simple practices that I use myself, which I used last week.
Do I have the energy or the capacity to record a podcast? The answer was no.
Perfecting all the negative stories, I would've pushed myself to record the podcast, and I did some of that when my daughter was younger.
And most women quite often override what their body is telling them or where their energy is at, or they have no idea where their energy is between zero and 10.
We're so used to pushing through, and we've stopped listening to what our bodies are trying to tell us.
But here's what I've learnt after 10 years with working with women as a kinesiologist and retreat facilitator.
The question is, are you listening? When we experience ongoing stress, our nervous system adapts to protect us.
Our bodies become more alert and focused so we can get through difficult seasons.
The challenge is when some seasons never seem to end, and they blend and blur together.
Instead of feeling calm, grounded, and connected, we feel exhausted, reactive, and disconnected.
