So why is it that this is the idea that you have in mind, and what are you hoping to get out of this initiative?

Um, basically, it, it, it came, um, based on my, um, the, the founding of, of this particular office, um, at the beginning of the academic year this year.

And I came across of a really dire need in having, um, a, um, a better understanding of strategic planning, uh, especially with what we are developing at, uh, at the, uh, at the university level.

And based on everything that I have seen, worked on with different units, schools, departments, I saw that really big need in understanding further what strategy means, how the landscape is, you know, changing drastically, how it's shifting, especially with the advent of AI, you know? And this was a very challenging moment in really seeing, uh, or, or, or setting, uh, the direction of what academic institutions could do with that very fast-changing, um, uh, you know, industry, jobs, everything.

And, um, especially seeing, uh, you know, um, on the faces of, of, of many, uh, certain, you know, a panic mode.

Like, what basically could we do? Uh, are we losing track? Um, is the momentum [laughs] not there anymore? Is the university, you know, academic institutions model is now fading away?

Uh, and with, with, with all of that, and this is, you know, sits at the core of, of what we do at, uh, at the Internal Consulting and Project Management office, is how we could then help LAU, uh, you know, at the broader, you know, level, and then specifically at the unit, school, and individual level, um, making, you know, um, having strategy, uh, you know, the word strategy is sometimes, you know, uh, becomes, uh, like, oh, wow, you know, this is, this is something, like, high level.

it starts with, um, the very, you know, um, basic level of thinking, structuring your thinking, uh, planning, and then, um, you know, adapting.

It's something that keeps on changing, and this is why the idea came up and why I wanted to actually name, uh, you know, the, the series, the podcast series, hopefully.
