Disconnect the cable.

Forget the TV.

All right, you don't have to totally disconnect it.

Just shut it down.

Snuggle, read, tickle, walk, talk.

Do something.

Play chess.

Ride bicycles.

Do something together.

Actually, physically do something.

I mean, it's nice to cuddle and watch a movie.

Most of the time when you watch the movie, you don't cuddle.

Yeah, I know you.

Think up little surprises several times a week.

Surprises.

Small little things.

Picking up somebody's favorite dessert, whatever.

Picking up a flower a person really likes.

Something small.

It's the small things, think about it, that show you're paying attention and you care.

Somebody's birthday, you throw a party.

Well, duh.

But all the way along, small little surprises means you're constantly thinking about them.

That feels good.

And when you're doing it for each other, that feels good.
