... we say the, yeah, the two bucket wash method, it's not a bad thing, but the way the two bucket wash method is traditionally done is you foam on the car, you get your bucket full of lather, and you have another bucket with just water in it.

Then you take your wash mitt, you put it in the one with soap, you go over the vehicle, you come back to the one with just water, you hopefully get the grit out of your wash mitt, then you go back to the one with soap, and then you go back on the paint again.

The one thing that's missing there is foam, rinse, foam.

Instead of relying on that second bucket of water to hopefully get the grit out of your mitt, why not get the grit off the car first?

... throw the bucket out the window, and use chemical, rinse, chemical if you're a rinseless wash fan.

Yes, 100%.

And by doing it that way, what you're doing is you're f- putting on the foam, you're letting it dwell, you're letting it agitate, you're rinsing it off.

It's taking the grit with it.

Then we're putting on more Incredible Suds or more Rinseless Wash, your choice, and then you're doing the contact wash.

Yes, there's still traffic film, but you've gotten rid of the grit.

And while I'm on the subject, just a little aside here, is using dedicated pre-wash chemicals.

We don't have any, and there's a reason we don't have any.

You're wasting your time, and you're wasting your money.

Yes, they might get rid of a little more traffic film than a pre-soak with Incredible Suds or Rinseless Wash, but in the end, you still have to do a contact wash.

So why not just do the contact wash?

Could you argue that removing them with emulsifying or- or just soaping on a product and then rinsing it, that would be safer than- than trying to get some of that with a contact wash? Like a more abrasive-

No, so we've, again, we've removed the abrasives with that first rinsing, and the, you know, the traffic film that's on there is not a concern.
