So the realization we came to last week or week before was that on the day of recording, we had literally been friends for a year.
Now I'm counting us being friends from the first time we connected, because as far as I'm concerned, We were friends.
I was about to point that out, but I think you're right.
If you would like to say, no, there's a defined point after that where I began to like you, that's fine.
That's
not true.
Okay.
Well, that was an important part of the premise of this episode, so I'm glad you agreed.
I am totally down for that.
I have to chime in, though, because I know that you're introverted and I believe you.
It's not always visible, though, because while I talk a lot about the friends that I have here and the friendships that are so important in my life, you do that, too, with your friends over there.
But also, at least at this point in life, you're the one from the two of us who is much more active when it comes to bigger communities.
Going to more events, connecting with those people, staying in touch with those people afterwards.
so community building wise you are definitely the inspiring force between the two of us and I was looking at that and I was like I should do that too one day I'll feel like that again and I'm not even an introvert this is why we got
each
other but
One of the first things I wanted to do, like we were joking about we met a year ago, therefore we have been friends a year.
But that was very much my impression when we met.
We talked and then we've never stopped talking.
And I don't know, I think...
Whilst our friendship is obviously something very special, that is something I've noticed with neurodivergent friendships is they're just like, you seem like kin to me, you feel like home.
And it's much quicker, perhaps than some other forms of relationship.
However...
That might just be me making friends as an adult.
And I'm cautious to not overlay something as a neurodivergent experience that really isn't a neurodivergent experience.
