[upbeat music] Welcome to The Design Psychologist, the show that helps you use psychology to design better experiences.

I'm Thomas Watkins, your guide to becoming a more powerful psychology informed designer.

It started off with the foundations of psychology applied to areas that I've been trained in, such as human factors and UX, and we expanded to other areas of application such as instructional design, service design, game design, and we ended up asking big questions that apply design psychology to the world.

We start off asking some very honest and difficult questions about where we are today, not just where we are today with our capacity to apply design to improving the world, but also what design psychology professionals are dealing with in our careers.

In this season, we get into accessibility, data visualization, how to design helper robots, jobs to be done versus classical human factors methods.

We talk about how to expand the power of our minds using the right tools and even AI.

I interview an author who got famous by publishing a very controversial and important article in the history of UX research, and also a YouTube influencer who is a memory expert and so much more.

And we also end season two with some inspiration, but I don't want to give away anything more.

A lot of these episodes were recorded many months ago and they cannot wait any longer to be published.

So thanks again for waiting and I hope you enjoy season two of The Design Psychologist.
