Of all the types of soil, we of course want to be the rich soil on which the Lord has sown his seed.

And once again, these are the ones who hear the word, embrace the word with a generous and good heart.

This is not a heart that simply does the minimum or is looking to simply do one's duty, but to embrace the one we love with a generous and good heart, seeking to give our whole lives over to his message and his person.

And finally, the ones who bear fruit through perseverance, daily fidelity to God, to his gospel, to the church.

This is how we come to arrive at the eternal kingdom, through daily perseverance, daily faithfulness, putting one foot in front of the other, often in many ordinary shows of love.
