Join the crew this week as they talk all things W: \- Freo might have lost a nailbiter on Saturday, but their W team got the chocolates and renewed Chantelle's love of the game! \- Paul from Actual…
I thought it might be therapeutic, Chantelle, for you to maybe talk to us in the huddle this week about Frio's W team.
Yes, well, they won on the weekend, which was fantastic to see.
They got the W against Adelaide, so that we talk about them.
So yeah, Fremantle, they won up against Adelaide in Adelaide, which is huge.
They now, I believe, sit in the top eight on the ladder.
So I don't think they've played as well as that for at least a couple of years.
I mean I said in 2020 if it wasn't for COVID in that COVID year Fremantle would have won the flag and then they dropped off a little bit lost some players players come out of form but I felt like they were really solid on the weekend and they really started to to get their ball movement going and I think Hayley Miller's back in her all Australian form which is Absolutely amazing to see.
She's one of my favourite players, so love to see that.
I think she's really thriving, not having, I guess, the burden of being a captain.
Obviously, I understand it's taken the reins again of being captain.
I thought Eden Zanka's really starting to flow well with that midfield group.
She's took a few marks and kicked a few goals, which is what we want from her.
We know she's so good.
And I did speak about Chiara Bowers in our first episode.
She was the player that I would have taken in our Cops and Robbers segment.
She was unreal.
She had 30-2.
What more do you want from her? She's just tackling hard all day.
The way they came up to the ball carrier and the pressure that they put on to Adelaide, Adelaide didn't know what to do with the ball.
So really loved what I saw from Fremantle on the weekend.
One of the things I was going to mention today was We get caught up often talking about the team, like last week we talked a bit about the demise of, not the demise of, but maybe, you know, Brizzy and Adelaide losing a bit of what they've had for a few years, that dominance.
But why not talk about Friot and Sydney and talk about those teams who are sort of starting to come up? And I think Friot, unfortunately for them, bad weekend probably.
They probably didn't get the flowers because there was a lot of other stuff going on.
But really cool win.
