Ten years ago this month we packed up our house in Ireland, put two small children in the car and moved to the Costa del So from Ireland. Since then we have helped hundreds of international buyers…

So what do I mean by that? So often when we speak to our buyers who choose to work with us, who are making the big leap to purchasing on the cost of sale, they talk about that moment, their defining moment where they knew that This was no longer a pipe dream.

This was something that they needed to no longer manifest into reality, but now start to take informed action to make this moment a reality.

And often it can happen the last few days of the holidays, that kind of feeling of dread.

starts to seep into the gut of your stomach where you're feeling like, what am I going back to? Maybe there's something disconnected in your life at home.

They're telling you that something needs to change, that you need to shake something up.

And people often say to us that it does happen on the last night or the last day of their holidays because they have to face that reality.

and start to feel a little bit emotional and often it's even a silence between you both that you're really not acknowledging out loud because you're afraid that the other person will think you're mad if you acknowledge it but it's there it starts to take roots and at some point it needs to be acknowledged for us our moment was 10 years ago we had come to spain to celebrate my 30th birthday we were on the beach on the last day with our kids And there was just this deep sense of dissatisfaction.

And I think that we were skirting around it and we were kind of looking around us going, oh my God, could this be real life? And I think we'd both been thinking independently in our own thought parallels that we wanted to change, that life wasn't satisfying us, that we were unhappy.

and that's the reason in the winter months you never seen the sun because you would just be working so yeah the last day on that beach we're seeing the kids playing and smiling and everybody was happy and we were just sitting there to do it and we made up our minds straight away and well luckily everything just clicked into place for us and we just made that jump, made the leap.

Yeah, and obviously, I suppose we're probably fast tracking things here a little bit, but I suppose what Werner is alluding to is that once you acknowledge it out loud and you say it to yourselves, what you want, and you support each other on that decision, and then you approach it as a plan, that this is going to become a reality for you, the pieces of the puzzle do start to fall into place very quickly.

I think it's about believing that it's possible for you and acknowledging what you want.

However, what I would say is we didn't tell other people because we knew that if we were telling other people, we open ourselves up for judgment.

You open yourself up for green-eyed envy, I would say, from other people that potentially are a little bit envious that you've had the balls to follow your dream and live life a little bit different.

So I would say that once you acknowledge it to ourselves, we kept it under our own hats for a while until we really started to see the plan kind of move from early stages to late stages.
