So I think a lot of people are going to be curious, man, man, Tej, how did you get lined up with that? I mean, we heard, you know, you got the investment, excuse me, the Illinois Venture Capital Association certainly was a key part, but just kind of take us back to the beginning.

How did you get involved with the IVCA? How did you even put a PE internship on your radar? Like how far back do we have to go? Is this like your first couple months on campus as a freshman? Or when did you first get the initial exposure as you look back?

Yeah, I'd say going back to my first couple, even weeks on campus, I think that's usually when a lot of the clubs on U of I kind of just start doing their advertising, kind of just trying to bring in new people, see what they're all about.

And again, for me, as I kind of mentioned, I wanted to say yes to as much as I could, kind of just take everything on my plate at first.

And then as it goes down the line, when it comes to sophomore year, I can ultimately pick and choose a couple of these time commitments that I think would best suit me for the future.

So I'd say a combination of both in investment banking, like freshman club called Prime Mergers and Acquisitions, and then also the business rat and a few of the folks that I'd met that had done the investment banking and maybe even the IVCA scholar program in the past.

And it's, I want to say one of the earliest things that you can kind of lock down by the winter break of your sophomore year.

There's so many things out there that you can do and so many people that you're going to meet.

So enjoy all of those small victories, but eventually set your eyes on that goal of doing anything you can to help you land that junior internship, which I think sophomore year summer, having that and just kind of throwing it to the top of the resume, incoming at Water Street was an immediate icebreaker when it came to a lot of my banking interviews.
conversation about how you're an analyst.
Yeah.
Oh, that's

Well, let me just pick out one piece of advice that I just heard you say, like pretty much what I heard you say was like, as a freshman, say yes to things, get involved, spread yourself out, experience different clubs, associations, all these different things.

But then sophomore year, maybe towards the end of freshman year, early sophomore year, you got to tighten it in and pare down, start to have some focus.
