Stop Micromanaging the Miracle

By the way, speaking of miracles, I wanna talk about something today that I think completely changed the trajectory of my life, and I wanna share it with you.

And the idea here is that the miracle happens after you let go.

Now, before you roll your eyes and think I'm telling you to stop caring or stop working, it's not what I mean.

[smacks lips] I'm talking about letting go of your attachment to how it's supposed to happen.

There's a huge difference there.

Keep the vision.

Let go of controlling the route.

And I learned this lesson in one of the most unexpected ways, guys.

I remember looking at my whiteboard one month.

[smacks lips] Every revenue goal was mapped out, every launch, every opportunity, every number, everything was accounted for.

The problem: nothing was going according to my plan.

Key words there, my plan.

I was checking numbers constantly.

Every sale determined my mood.

Every no felt personal.

I wasn't building.

I was gripping way too tight.

And one of my [smacks lips] most important people in my life, one-- my teacher, Benjamin, [smacks lips] my spiritual advisor, he asked me a question that completely stopped me in my tracks.

He said, "Craig, have you even told the Creator that you actually have room?" I looked at him like he had three heads.

I'm like, "What do you mean by that?" He said, "From the way that you're acting, you look completely full.

You're anxious.

Your schedule's jam-packed.

You're trying to control every detail.

You're operating like someone who's already overwhelmed.

So why would the Creator send you anything else if your energy says that you don't even have the capacity to receive it?" That question right there hit me like a ton of bricks, guys, because in that moment, I realized I wasn't asking for abundance.
