Send us Fan Mail We all have goals. And many times we never take actions towards those goals. In this episode I help you understand why, and also…
Today, we are talking about waiting.
Waiting to start something, waiting to say something to someone, waiting to make a move, to take action.
And yeah, okay, most of those mean the same thing, but you get what I'm saying.
You could be waiting to ask for a promotion at work, waiting to submit an application for a new job, waiting to start your own business, waiting to start trying to lose weight, waiting to have a much needed conversation with someone.
Whatever it is you're waiting for, why are you waiting? Why do we wait so long to do things we know we need to get done, that we know need to happen for us to move forward, that we know would make us feel better, or that we know we will regret if we don't do it? There are a lot of obvious reasons, of course.
We're scared.
It's hard.
We don't think it'll go our way.
It's awkward.
It's going to take a lot of time.
It's going to take a lot of work.
There's also the thought that if we don't start, if we don't try, we can't fail.
Although I'd say the opposite.
If you don't try at all...
You failed.
I think it's better to try and have it not work out than not try at all and live with regret forever.
I actually found myself stuck here a few months ago, even though I swore I wasn't doing it.
I finally accepted the fact that I was, and I needed to do something about it.
That was with my business.
I started it in February, 2025.
And of course, of course I took it seriously and I did a ton of work for my clients and I still do.
But as far as growing my The group, I tried here and there, being very inconsistent with it, and I did not grow, which is not surprising.
But because I was not being consistent, I didn't take it as personally.
I just thought, oh, well, it's not because no one wants to join me, it's because I need to be more consistent.
So the blame felt like it was put elsewhere versus on me, even though it was me.
