If you're a business owner, chances are you've probably had the thought, is anyone even listening to me when it comes to your marketing? Now, in fact, I did a whole episode, I believe in season two or three of the Chaos to Clarity podcast called, Is Anyone Even Listening? Now, I'm going to link that below.

Now, I will say when you ask that question, is anyone even listening to me? Of course, you want people to listen.

When I say, is anyone even listening to me? I mean, whether that's social media, in real life, podcasting, any way that you are marketing, most entrepreneurs are going to be asking, is anyone even listening? Especially if they're not seeing the results that they are wanting from that piece of marketing.

Now, I think that there is a much better question that we can be asking instead of, is anyone listening? I ask people, why? Why do you want people to listen to you? Or why should people listen to you? And I'm not trying to be snarky about this.

But if we look at it from a podcast perspective, and you could definitely look at this through a social media or, you know, putting ads in the any kind of marketing that you are doing you can ask yourself what would actually change in your business if twice as many people listened or commented or subscribed or whatever that thing is right if twice as many people listened next month as this month so say you had 10 listeners this month what happens if you have 20 listeners next month or what happens if you have 200 listeners next month Or what happens if you have 2,000 listeners next month? Because I think that answer, like what would happen in your business if you had an influx of listeners, that can tell you much more than a download goal.

So for me, download goals are, you know, like, yeah, they're cool, but like, what do you want? What is next? It's the same question I asked last week.

What happened in your business? Did you sell more? Did you book more strategy calls? Did you book more people into your coaching program? Did you grow your CPA business? Did you grow your, I don't know, paper planner printer business, right? What happened because of that? And are you keeping track of that? I think that is also a...

subsequent question to what would actually change why and then what right kind of knowing those three things or where you you're wanting that to go i think that is so important for business owners now We all know podcasting is not small anymore.

So yes, I know it's never been easier, but I also wanted to have a little bit of data behind this.

So that you can see what they found now in this survey sounds profitable surveyed more than 5,000 us adults for its 2025 podcast landscape.
