I know you talked with Chris Frediani on his show, but for my audience and those that might have missed your previous appearances, can you, in a nutshell, explain what the problems you've seen and experienced with regards to young people coming into the trades and construction?
Yeah, I think it's, I think it's pretty, um, I think it's easy to, pretty easy to get round if I'm completely honest.
Do you know what I mean? They've lost interest in school, they're looking out the window, they're bored, they're not interacting with a teacher.
So why are we teaching them something which they don't really wanna learn and that they're not gonna learn anything from? Why don't we go down the route of actually giving them an option of taking up a trade, doing a trade, something which they can take away, they'll have forever, no one can take it off of them, and we have got a huge skills crisis in this country, so we need that more than ever.
... for me, it was do, go to school and stay in sixth form or go to work or college, okay, at 16.
