After a long-term drought, it has been quite literally a deluge over the last few days, and everybody's had rainfall.

It just comes down to the exact amounts, but it all kind of began, of course, late last week over particularly areas near and north of I-10 on Friday through Sunday.

And then yesterday, it was the heavy rain bands moving in off the Atlantic as the local nor'easter set up, which actually, from a wind standpoint, doesn't appear as though it's going to be all that strong, largely because the winds will become more east and out of the southeast fairly quickly, within about 24 to 36 hours.

But even that has at least some ANGLE ON OUR BEACHES WITH WINDS, SO CONTINUED BEACH EROSION, FLOODING AT TIMES OF HIGH TIDE FROM A COMBINATION OF FRESHWATER, IN OTHER WORDS, RAIN, AND THE KING TIDES AROUND THE NEW MOON, WHICH OF COURSE IS HIGHER THAN AVERAGE TIDES THAT OCCUR EVERY FALL, AND WE'RE LOOKING Looking at the rainfall today, at least gradually shifting more off to the south and west, but not before dropping as much as 6 to 9 inches of rain over parts of central and eastern Duval County just yesterday.
