And if you're listening to this episode, then my guess is that Bonnie Tyler is basically, like for me, the soundtrack of your life.

I think that one thing that connects most of us as fans is that we find a sense of comfort in her music and particularly in her voice.

I thought it might be appropriate to kind of share a few thoughts and try and say something of comfort based on what I've come to know of Bonnie in the last couple of years.

It's been a really painful time, I think, for fans who have been worried about her well-being and wanting to know what's happening.

But, of course, Bonnie's always been very private and very specific about dividing her as an artist with her personal life and her health and her well-being.

I remember her saying in a text back in March, probably, I'm just glad I've got no gigs coming up till...

I think she had something in Sweden in May and said, I'm glad I've got time to kind of deal with this privately and quietly, you know, because she doesn't like to be a spectacle in that way.

But around that time, there happened to be a couple of cancellations for a concert in Manchester and cardiff one being pushed back to the end of the year and um the uh promoters and the ticket master people were really keen to you know we need a bit of time to get the refund process ready or the rearrangements ready and bonnie throughout that whole process just kept putting a foot down and saying listen i just want the fans to know now that you know that these a couple of these shows are in doubt because i don't want to let people down um And I think she's always put her fans like right at the top, remembering and valuing them because, you know, they're everything when you're an entertainer, when you're a performer.

And basically with every decision that she's made kind of career wise, I think she's always had that right at the front in her mind.

I hope that when the dust settles, we'll all have some time to take stock over what is an amazing artist, an amazing, lovely, kind person.

Anybody who's listened to a song or bought a CD or anything, we're all part of that.
