I'm Andy.

I'm an alcoholic.

And I was just listening to all of the verbiage and the stuff that they say beforehand.

And I think that I might need to find another program because alcohol is not my main problem.

My main problem is me.

And alcohol was the solution to that problem for a really long time.

I am a member of Atlantic Group.

I am very, very thankful and honored to be asked to speak at my home group.

My sobriety day is October 24th, 2016.

I have a sponsor.

And I'm doing the thing.

But yeah, I don't, you know, I've spoken at this meeting a few times over the course of my sobriety.

And, you know, I have funny anecdotes.

And I have stories that I'm sure that you can relate to.

But the nuts and bolts of it are that I am an alcoholic.

I got drunk to excess the minute that I took a drink.

I could not control whether I had another one.

And it was fairly immediate after my first drink that I started having the mental obsession about it.

And I, you know, when am I going to have it again? Oh, no, I can't do this again.

This is so bad.

And I'm really embarrassing myself.

Started doing rules and regulations immediately.

None of them worked.

And so, you know, on October 23rd of 2016 at like 5.30 in the morning after I was like screaming at my now wife who was my girlfriend in a total blackout, getting noise complaints from my neighbors.
