The problem is that enlarged prostate symptoms, that is urgency, frequency, along with slow flow and incomplete emptying affects a great percentage of men.

Somewhere about half of men in their 60s or older are going to have symptoms like this.

So if it affects tens of millions of men, and then 40 years ago, we only had one option, and that was the roto-rooter surgery.

And if they had a friend that had a bad roto-rooter or a TURP, transurethral resection of the prostate, they had a bad one, then they avoided the doctor like the plague.

don't think they know what a roto-rooter is from fixing plumbing because none of them had to have a job or had to do any kind of work in their lives.

And then I don't think they know what a terp is because nowadays one of our recent interviewees said that they don't even do any of them in their residency anymore.

So this tried and true methodology was one that could have resulted in some complications.

And then medicines came on the scene and people thought we'd never need surgery again.

But in fact, the medicines, all they did was push the surgery a few years, maybe five or seven years.

And then you started seeing more and more data about these medicines called alpha blockers.

These are going to be medicines like Tamsulosin, Psilidosin, Alfuzosin, Terazosin.

So if you're in your 40s and you're starting to have symptoms and the idea that you can take this pill for the next 20 years and it may make you a little nutty, that's not a great one.

So then patients started demanding a simpler solution for their enlarged prostate.

And if you really were to be the advertiser and marketing for resume, it sounds amazing.
