Do you remember the first time you heard a rumor about yourself? Like, where were you? What was the rumor? How'd it make you feel?

I think there was a rumor within a group of friends.

It would've been after high school.

Mm-hmm.

And you know, and I think I was talking about this before, like, people evolve, they change.

You sort of navigate to different groups.

And you know when people, like, start to sort of go, "Oh, she's a bitch.

She's left us out.

Wasn't invited to this," that kind of thing.

Mm-hmm.

I just never subscribed to that sort of stuff, and I think somebody almost saying that I had that much power that I could persuade people not to be friends with other people-Or, A, that I would, like, make time to purposely, "You can't be friends with this person, you can't be friends with this person." I feel like it's stuff that happens when you're young, and I feel like somebody thinking I could wield that much power over anybody was preposterous to me.

Yeah.

That I could make people not be friends with people or not like people.

I'm like, "No, she's a great nice woman."

Yeah.

"She doesn't want to be friends with you, that's, that's her stuff.

It's got nothing to do with me." I think those kind of things coming through, you know when you're going from teens to, like, early 20s and you're kind of weeding out the people in your life, I feel like those were some things at the time I just always found really strange.

Yeah.

'Cause I think most people would say, "I'm the opposite." I'm like, "Include everyone, invite everyone," to a point where literally you were like, when we had our launch for this podcast, you're like, "Laura, we can't have any more people."

Yeah.

"It's enough."

Yeah.

And I w- especially then, still a bit of a people pleaser, but massively back then.

Mm-hmm.

So that always just seemed really weird to me.
