Well, to be

fair, though, on this first disc, I like Pilgrimage more than La Mer.

La Mer's kind of dull.

Um, it's just, it's in the, in the context of the album, it's fine.

But on its own, I was just like, yeah, this doesn't really add much.

Yeah, so here's the ones that we've knocked out.

Okay.

The Frail, Even Deeper, La Mer, The Great Below, The Mark Has Been Made, Please, Complication, I'm Looking Forward to Joining You Finally, Underneath It All, and Ripe With Decay.

Harvey Mandel did it.

But this one from Duke Pearson's 1969 album, How Insensitive Takes the Cake.[on-hold music] Los Indios Tabajaras in their version of La Mer or subtitled Beyond the Sea.

That came from a self-titled release for the guitarist, Los Indios Tabajaras.

And from 1969, it was Duke Pearson and Cristo Redentor from his album How Insensitive, which is going to bring us, well, to the end of this edition of the Tiki Lounge Happy Hour.

In due time all had been done that was requisite, and the Lexington put to sea and resumed her voyage.

In October we approached Cape Horn, the first land described was Staten Island, white with snow, and the ship seemed to be aiming for the channel to its west straits of la mer but her course was changed and we passed around to the east in time we saw cape horn an island rounded like an oven after which it takes its name ornos oven here we experienced very rough weather buffeting about under storm staysails and spending nearly a month before the wind favoured our passage and enabled the course of the ship to be changed for valparaiso one day we sailed parallel with the french sloop of war and it was sublime to watch the two ships rising and falling in those long deep swells of the ocean all the time we were followed by the usual large flocks of cape pigeons and albatrosses of every color the former resemble the common barn pigeon exactly but are in fact gulls of beautiful and varied colors mostly dove color we caught many with fishing lines baited with pork we also took in the same way many albatrosses the white ones are very large and their down is equal to that of the swan At last Cape Horn and its swelling seas were left behind, and we reached Valprezo in about sixty days from Rio.

We anchored in the open roadstead, and spent there about ten days, visiting all the usual places of interest, its foretop, main-top, mizzen-top, etc.

Halleck and Ord went up to Santiago, the capital of Chile, some sixty miles inland, but I did not go.

And I could see that the consumer was buying premium skincare and spending a lot of money on their skincare and either not investing in SPF at all or having to kind of live with formulations that they didn't really love.

You know, you might have a La Mer skincare routine, and then you, you know, you have to buy SPF from the chemist.

Or if a brand had a ...

There was one SKU, one, one SPF product, and there was nothing really beautiful.

Yeah, exactly.

I mean, as somebody who got to the point where I'd be like, all right, the one really expensive thing I'm going to do is buy my La Mer eye cream.

And now I'm like, I'm not so sure I need to spend that kind of money.

So I haven't.

Actually, the amazing smell, it's a little sad.

Like, you know, when I learned about it, I was really sad.

Like, you know, we talked about some like La Mer, like, you know, it's so nice, smells so nice, luxurious, and you want to kind of put it and then like sleep, that's good.

But actually those like fragrances, can kind of trigger some irritability on the skin.
