Take us through the history of the MLC a little bit.

0:23

Yeah, so after many disastrous attempts at starting a T20 league here in the United States, Major League Cricket launched in 23 as the latest and hopefully greatest iteration of T20, 2020 cricket here in the United States.

0:35

We've got six teams, and we're now entering the fourth season.

0:38

So it's kind of a strange ownership situation.

0:40

So you've got three teams that are basically owned by the IPL teams.

0:45

So we've got LA Knight Riders based on Kolkata.

0:47

We've got the Texas Super Kings based on Chennai.

0:49

And then we got the MI New York.

0:51

No points for guessing where that one's from.

0:53

We also got three teams that are locally owned, so to speak.

0:56

Seattle Orcas are owned by Satya Nadella, interestingly enough.

0:59

That's a pretty cool one.

1:00

And SF Unicorns, which I think is probably one of the best team names in all of American sports.

Dhruv GuptaHost

1:04

Oh, yeah.

Dhruv GuptaHost

1:05

Genius

1:05

name.

1:06

SF Unicorns, they understood the assignment.

1:08

And then you've got the Washington Freedom, which is not bad.

1:11

That's

Dhruv GuptaHost

1:11

a good name.

Dhruv GuptaHost

1:12

Also good.

Dhruv GuptaHost

1:12

It's

1:12

not bad.

1:13

I'll give them that.

1:13

I'll give them that.
