My first memory of life on this planet was when I was ten years old and it was a very defining moment of my life.

I was at the circus and I had no idea how the events of that day would unfold and change my life dramatically.

And back in the day where it wasn't iPads, it wasn't phones, it was getting outside, doing stuff, enjoying time with your friends.

And we went down to this, we were going swimming one day, this is back in the UK, going down swimming.

And we went to the first person we saw, big burly guy, knocking in the pegs and just said, can we have a look around? The guy said, look, we're setting up, you help yourself.

And it's interesting because 1980, you could actually walk around a circus with wild animals, no health and safety.

There was nothing there that really sparked my attention, but I was drawn to a split in the side of the canvas on the other side.

And I walked away from my brother and his best friend, and I got to the split.

I pulled the curtain to one side and straight away the sun hit me in the eyes, blurred my vision for a second.

But as soon as my vision cleared, I saw something in front of me that was even more exciting than the circus itself.

Now for me, I was brought up with cats and dogs, but this was something I'd seen on TV.
