#460 - Energy Update for August 23 - 30: Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

🌕 A Powerful Lunar Eclipse + A Shift Into Something New This week brings a powerful lunar eclipse in Pisces, peaking Thursday at 9:15 PM Pacific and 12:15 AM Eastern. We’ll be able to see it across the US, with about 96% of the Moon covered. This eclipse closes the eclipse portal, but the energy doesn’t simply disappear. Instead, we move into a period of integration over the next couple of weeks as we begin to understand what this eclipse season has set in motion. And wow, this eclipse season has been a doozy! So many people have been feeling exhausted, drained, foggy, or emotional. As we approach Thursday’s eclipse, those feelings may intensify. Lunar eclipses tend to bring things to the surface that have been building beneath the surface, especially around our relationships with other people, our work, our health, our bodies and ourselves. What comes up usually isn’t new. It’s something that’s been brewing for a while, and the eclipse shines a light on it. This could be a major emotional turning point or a sense of closure around something that has been part of your life for a long time. This eclipse is also amplified by some fascinating planetary energy. Mercury is cazimi, meaning it’s at the peak of its power, which can bring aha moments, breakthroughs, unexpected news and a completely different way of seeing something. The eclipse is also part of a Magic Triangle involving Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, which speaks to spiritual awakening and a shift in consciousness. There’s also a Boomerang Yod adding even more energy around change and growth. And then we have the North Node, which is about where we’re going. This gives the eclipse a feeling of moving forward into new territory. After all the changes we’ve experienced over the past year and a half, this eclipse feels like the final exclamation point on a very long period of transformation. That doesn’t mean nothing else will change, but it does feel like we’re finally turning a corner and moving into something new. There’s a deep wisdom woven through this eclipse, and a sense that we’re ready to move on from an old story and begin living a new one. So this week, expect some aha moments, some unexpected surprises, and maybe a little emotional intensity.
