You know when you hear that from the Anointed One, it's time to really listen.

And not listen with the surface mind, but with the spirit, with the heart, that we may truly understand.

We have before us not just a parable, but what is known as the parable of parables.

He said to his disciples, to you was given the secret of the kingdom of God, but not to them.

And yet this mystery of parables, in Psalm 78 we read those amazing words, I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things, secrets unknown from the beginning of the world.

Jesus is expressing in this form the very essence of the meaning of life the very essence of our nature and relationship with god now with many parables we are left to try to figuring it out on our own which is why many teachers of christianity have said don't just open the bible pray first Sort of like tenderizing meat.

That those words become more than just what's on the page, but a word to you in that moment of your life.

But we're in luck today because this is one of the few parables that Jesus actually explains.

And he explains it so that we can know 2,000 years later what the key is to deciphering the teaching.

We have been given the tools to understand what has been encapsulated in these simple images and shot down through time till the end of time.

so that all people in all cultures can grasp the revelation of this divine wisdom and apply it to their lives.

A parable is nothing less than a conduit of meaning, a way to get our literalistic minds, our materialistic minds to grasp profound truth, spiritual truth.

A bridge between different kinds of thinking, different modes of understanding.

So let's see if we can grasp the amazing depth and power of these divine revelations.
