QR Codes Explained: How Those Little Squares Work | Tech 101

So you're right, Daniel.

The QR codes that we see, those little squares seem to be everywhere.

Restaurant menus, right? Event tickets, I've seen them on event tickets.

Product packaging, absolutely.

Payment systems, like you said.

Advertisements and even television screens.

I've seen them on commercials even.

Everywhere.

Have you? Yeah, they're everywhere.

Yes,

yes.

But we often can ask ourselves, how can that little small square filled with black and white blocks contain useful information? So we'll try to answer that question today.

Definitely.

It's sad to say, Miss Jackie, they use also for scam people.

My oh my.

Have you heard that?

Yeah, I have read that because it usually takes you to a website, right? So if the website is fake, yeah, that's true.

So you have to be really careful.

Like, for example, there's this company out there and they they sell this nutritional product and it's got all these vitamins and minerals in it.

But the owner, he's done some commercials recently and he said so.

there's all these fake ones on Amazon and other things.

And what they're doing is they're scamming people out of their money by faking that they're real.

So he said, you need to go to my official website or scan the QR code right here, and it'll go to the official product website so that you know you're getting a genuine product.

Because unfortunately, when it comes to supplements and things like that if they're if they're the fake one right you don't know what they could contain so it can be yeah it can be harmful absolutely

definitely and the bad side is they using booting malware to your account and then drain your bank account oh my goodness so let's talk about this This is something that we need to deal with.
