We got third place, then first place, which was awesome, and I'm really excited for another year.
And as we're starting this year, uh, kinda my, my thought process is that most of the revolutionary changes have been done, and now it's all about doing what we know how to do smoother, better, smarter, and maybe even a little bit more efficiently, maybe a little bit more clearly for everyone in the walls.
So, uh, this year we're, we're actually gonna go for a, a little bit of a two captain system.
So last year, Anthony, you were my, my vice captain, which, uh, has a little bit of an implication of being number two, which is nice.
But, but this year, this year we're, we're, we're go- we're going for co-captains.
And so, uh, we've decided to split the burden pretty much 50/50 evenly down the middle.
There's a, there's a twofold aspect to this, right? So for years, uh, we've talked about having an on-playing captain, what the benefits are, what the upsides are, what the downsides are, you know, how it interacts with having a team that's really focused on a goal, and I have felt particularly over the last few years that I haven't been able to be the best version of myself for the team in either of my roles, honestly, right? I, you know, couldn't really focus on being the best possible pilot, 'cause I was doing so much of the team organizing.
I couldn't really focus entirely on the organizing, 'cause I did still have to maintain being one of the best eight players in our roster, which it's a pretty good roster, so that requires continuous effort.
[laughs] Um, so yeah, uh, this year I'm gonna be stepping into a non-playing role.
