Who do you TRUST with your money? (And is the world running out of it?)

Hi, Ray.

I've been busily listening up to episode five and I wish you were my economics teacher at university.

You're keeping everything very simple.

Good compliment there, Ray.

I

hope

so.

This is my question for dear Raymond.

How do I find the right financial advisor for me? What should I look for? Fees, reporting, et cetera.

Thanks, Natalie in Melbourne.

Well, that's a really topical question at any day of the week in any year because how do you find good advice and advice that you can trust in? And you've got

to trust this person because you're trusting them with your money, right? You are, yeah.

That's kind of a big deal.

Yeah.

Yeah, exactly.

And, you know, firstly, thank you for the question, Natalie.

Yes.

Great to hear from you.

Yeah, and thanks for the compliment about the economics type of things.

I try to make it my commentary, and this has been my goal for a really, really long time when I'm speaking, to try and get it to make sense.

Yeah.

Because it is fairly complex once you get a peel or label off, but there is a lot of simplicity to it in the basics.

So, yeah, that's my goal.

Yeah, love it.

Okay, so I guess the critical thing that I think is important in looking for financial advice is, one, you want to know that the advice isn't conflicted.
