When I read that in your book, how you had started there, it really struck a chord with me.

And that night in my... journal i started i headed up the page and and it was really enlightening to me as well so i love that you just did that without anyone and that you're sharing that with us because i instantly as a therapist i i have i don't use that particular but that doesn't matter but what i understood is instantly as a as a therapist myself I understood that you were getting in behind what was driving your behavior.

And I think that is so missing.

And now I'm starting to see reading your book with money as well.

look, I want to, so, so, so in the book you wrote with your colleague, Ang Meyer, you, I want to start, you, you talk about the high money and, But you also talk very eloquently about how, you know, out there, most of us have a lot of financial knowledge in terms of we know that you should budget.

We know that there's this eighth wonder of the bloody world called.

Yeah.

compound interest we know there's investment but somehow somewhere and this was my experience I'm putting my experience on this it got really fuzzy for me I felt like I should know how to do this I had read books I had gone to seminars but in and as you as I was reading I was at a woman's empowerment retreat last year and and there was a money financial expert who came and gave us a seminar as part of that retreat and afterwards there were women in the bunk rooms crying it

and it really it really because we were all midlife some of us were in our 50s there was a woman who'd just broken up with her husband and she was so terrified and this financial so-called expert just fueled that fear that's all that happened that's so and we cannot learn when we're in fear no so I want to go I wanted to go back give them all your book to start with find them all I know read this but can you walk us through where to start you you start with some really really good that we can ask ourselves.

So just take us through,

of throw away everything you know about budgeting for now, not forever, but just as a point.

And where do we start?

Well, just to sort of go back to what you're saying about those bunk rooms, like, And women are great investors.

We actually do better as investors than men do because of some of the ways that we've been socialized.
