Leavenworth for Families in all Seasons

So do you have a favorite place when you're coming to town and it's spring, a favorite place you like to send people to?

A lot of people have been pent up all winter.

They're looking to get out and walk around and get out and do things.

And one really nice trail we have is Blackbird Island and doing the trail around the island up to Enchanted Park and following the river.

And what I think a lot of people don't realize when they come here is how close to the river we are.

We're kind of situated on a hill, and it's kind of down the hill and around the corner kind of thing.

They don't realize how close we are.

And there's a beautiful walk to take your family on there.

dog-friendly as well, stroller-friendly, great trail around Blackbird Island and the park headed to Chisholm Park.

So that's where I'd like to send families when they come, especially in the spring.

You know, I just think that downtown, as soon as you're right on Front Street, you're looking up at the Tumwater Mountain and Overhead Icicle Ridge, and you've got the snow caps still, you know, in spring.

Yeah.

But it's all that.

Everything just looks so bright and green suddenly.

You know, stop by the candy store, maybe get that saltwater taffy.

Yeah, yeah.

Keep your

kid happy.

For sure.

That's also the time when we start to see the markets opening up, the farmers markets.

You start to get a little fresh produce.

I've been seeing more of the fresh flower stands around.

Yeah, that's always a family-friendly hit is taking downtown, the farmer's markets.
