Prequel Ep 7 - The Memory of the Smell of Smoke

Um, I think Whisper immediately asks the question he always asks, uh, it's about Hestia.

Just wants to know what side she's on, what that actually means.

If she is not the person that he thought she was, then what is she doing here?

Delthin is still in the blade song, so he's in that altered state.

He turns around to look at the situation, and right now it's all, it's all tactical calculations of, okay, he's pointing at Hestia.

Hestia was an ally until this just happened.

Don't know if this is an ally or not.

Don't like him, so don't really want him to come out of here alive anyways because he's clearly bad.

But maybe the enemy of my enemy in this moment is fine to do what they wanna do.

You watch as Hestia raises her hands very slowly, and again, you start to see her resolve begin to crumble, and tears start to form in her eyes as she very intently looks at Captain Thorne and says, "Why don't we talk about this?" And he stops for a moment.

As this is happening, Clara has stepped back, and she trips slightly, without falling to the ground, over one of the bodies that is immediately behind her.

She drops her bag, revealing the burlap sack, as she raises her hands.

Captain Thorne's eyes widen as he eyes the sack, and he shifts the bow towards Clara, who has just enough time to look up from the ground where the bag has fallen as Thorne's arrow pierces her neck.

Her hands drift towards her throat as she looks to the both of you, startled, and then puzzled, as she falls to the ground dead.

I'm gonna run up to the captain and try to spear him with my trident.

Okay.

You're making an attack roll?

Uh, first he needs to make a constitution saving throw [laughs] 'cause Cacophonic Shield is still up.

[die rolling]

Uh, that's a four.

Oh, that's great.

13 thunder damage, just as I walk towards him.

Okay.

And, uh, he's deafened again.

He stumbles back a bit.
