From artisan food producers to some of the Midlands' most innovative small businesses, the region's food and drink sector had a major showcase at this year's National Ploughing Championships in Scragen.

Midlands 103's Una Hughes went along to meet some of the businesses involved and get a taste of what the Midlands has to offer.
So basically, it's all homemade treats.
Um, we've got cake, we've got chocolate, we've got apple crumbles, we've got almonds.
We've got different flavors and all homemade in my own kitchen.
Um, well, basically, after the crash came, I was left and I was unemployed, and I had to look at something that I was familiar with doing, and I had done this k- kind of thing before.
It was something my mother had done, and I just carried it on from there, basically.
Just started off small and kept growing.
Well, sometimes things just don't go according to plan, and sometimes you think you're ready for something, and you're not, and you just learn as you go, like, and, you know, everything has, you know, every day there's hurdles, and you just get over those hurdles.
So I started from nothing.
I got no support from anywhere, and I just grew it as, you know, like, it just evolved naturally and organically and, you know.
So it's just, it is, it's hard work, dedication.
Like, and if you're happy to do the hour, put in the hours and everything else, yes, it can be rewarding.
But there are time...
It's very, very difficult at times as well.
Like, but, you know, you put in the hard yards, you get the rewards.

Next, we spoke to Olivia from An Olivia Chocolate, who was hoping to soon achieve her 20th award, and after tasting her chocolate, I can say she definitely deserves it.
I have 19 awards, um, between Blast the Heron and McKenna's Guides for my chocolates.
Um, I make a range of fabulous flavors, everything that incorporates Irish artisan, uh, drink and other, uh, ingredients.
Um, I've done a new, uh, with Four Distillery Rum and Lime.
