definitely would recommend and then I also had a friend's birthday party this week so yeah all just really good events and it's been really fun so all of this just goes to show that you can achieve some incredible things and also live your life and feel happy and fulfilled in the process because I do not believe in burning yourself out to achieve success I believe that there is so much out there in this world for you and so much that you can achieve but I do not think that you should be sacrificing your sleep your health your sanity to achieve those things so just goes to show you can do it Now, I don't say any of this to discredit or minimize her achievements, but I just think it's really worth mentioning the role that luck and privilege have in Eileen's success.

Because while I do want to keep most of this episode focused on things that we can control and things which we can actually apply into our own lives, you really cannot ignore the role that these factors have in someone's success.

You could have all of the luck and privilege in the world, But if you don't care to work very hard, you will just live a pretty comfortable life.

Or you could have no sort of lack of privilege and you can accept your fate and live a much more challenging life.

You can put in a lot of hard work, improve your life and get somewhere, albeit with greater difficulty.

Or in the fourth scenario, you can have all of the luck and privilege in the world and also work really hard and be super disciplined.

and be committed to improving your life and getting somewhere and achieving your goals and this is the case that eileen is in so essentially the point that i'm trying to make here is that luck and privilege do play a really big role they essentially reduce the number and the size of the barriers standing between you and success but they do not mean everything there is just no way in any universe that eileen could have achieved half the things that she has achieved without putting in an immense amount of work
I left nothing on the table.
I know that looking back at this Olympics and the months that preceded it, there is quite literally nothing that I could have done more.
I did everything I could every single day, every single thing that I could.
If you can think of something like, oh, I should do this now, I've done it.
I have done every single thing I could possibly do for this Olympics.
And so it's like if things didn't go my way, I wouldn't regret feeling unprepared.
I wouldn't regret feeling like, I could have done more.
And so that I also think instills a bit of confidence in you because you can never control the result.
You can never control the outcome, but you can control the preparation.
And most importantly, you can fall in love with the process.
She has worked

incredibly hard and you simply cannot achieve what she has achieved purely based on luck alone.

With that in mind, I just want to point out a couple of sources of luck and privilege just so that you can keep in mind the things that, you know, maybe you may not have had access to.

Again, not at all a criticism, it's just something to acknowledge going forward.
