You know, he's had, he had all the accolades, had the incredible resume.

Destined to be a star, but it doesn't always work out that way.

But it took him all of three events as a member of the PGA Tour to pick up his first win, and he did it up at the 3M Open in the Twin Cities.

What a week it was for that young fellow.

Beating world number one, Scottie Scheffler, by three shots.

Yeah, dude, probably ...

I mean, for a tournament in the r- you know, if we're being honest, doesn't have a ton of juice going in.

They got Scottie Scheffler this year.

That was nice to have.

This was probably best case scenario for 3M.

Scottie Scheffler in the mix making a run on a Sunday, and then the young phenom, Jackson Kovin, trying to hold him off.

And I mean, third start as a pro on the PGA Tour, looked like he'd been there a million times.

How about a little bogey-free weekend, uh, setting the all-time scoring record at the same time? I, I don't wanna be one of the guys that jumps to conclusions like, "This kid's gonna win six majors and be world number one," and all that stuff, but it'd be hard to be higher on a kid that's 21 years of age coming off his amateur career that he had and now doing this, uh, on the PGA Tour.

That was, um, that was clinical.

Until the drive on 18.

That made me feel a little bit better.

It's like, all right, he messes up.

He, he, he's human.

Yeah.

'Cause he did ...

He looked perfect for, like, the first, you know, 12 or 13 holes.

It was, it was an absolute clinic.

I mean, going back to the 61 on Saturday when, as I, as you said, Scottie Scheffler right there.

He goes out, shoots 29 on that back nine Saturday to get himself in the mix.
