I did a breast lift on her, and she had some fat along her sides underneath her armpit extending to her back, so I suctioned some fat.
I've been doing it since 1985, my first year of residency, and I do a lot of liposuction.
So we store our energy in fat, but, you know, in times where food is plentiful like it is now, hopefully it'll continue that way.
We don't like that extra fat, so we suction it off, we remove it, we diet, we have GLP-1s, we do lap bands, everything possible to get rid of this fat.
But fat has its use in cosmetic surgery, and I have been actually injecting fat as a fat graft all the way since my residency we think of it as new uh it's not new at all it's been around for 30 40 years um and i inject it into your nasolabial fold i inject it into your lips i inject it into hollow temples yeah up there uh above your uh and to the side of your eyes Very useful.
In fact, I know someone this past week, not my patient, but someone who wound up having to have a breast biopsy because she had fat issues.
