But let's start in, Noah, let's start in talking about liposuction, also known as liposuction, really one of my favorite procedures.
But it is one of the best procedures in all of plastic surgery, one of the most popular procedures in all of plastic surgery.
As long as your doctor knows how to take care of patients, not just cut, not just do a procedure, but take care of you and knows how much to remove and not to remove too much because liposuction is not a method of weight loss.
We leave that to the bariatric surgeons or now, of course, the GLP drugs, you know, the ZipBound, the Those are the procedures, rather those are the drugs that cause massive weight loss, 10 pounds, 20 pounds, 30 pounds, 50, 100 pounds.
I have patients coming into my office after being on these drugs for months or now even years, and they look at me as kind of the dessert at the end of the weight loss.
You know, you've struggled, although I have to tell you, the ozempic zep bound drugs these glp-1 drugs they are not a struggle it's not like bariatric surgery where you know there really is you're fighting the operation i have to say you know and people have all sorts of issues with lap bands and and uh bypass surgery and things like that we're talking about gastric bypass not heart bypass uh there are issues and there's uh There's some vomiting with those procedures and there's vitamin deficiencies and things like that, but not so with a well watched patient on the GLP drugs.
And I personally don't think a plastic surgeon should be prescribing them, although a lot of my colleagues are.
I think it should be a board certified internal medicine doctor that prescribes these drugs.
They know the most about your hormones, or maybe a gastroenterologist, but certainly not a plastic surgeon.
So when we come back from our first break, we're gonna talk about liposuction, the dessert at the end of the GLP drugs, the procedure that's designed to remove fat when you've already lost your fat, but it's the recalcitrant fat that hangs around your belly, your hips, your thighs, your neck, your knees, your ankles.
We're gonna talk about that and what else we can do this fall so that you're ready for the beach when you go to Miami in December, when you go to the Caribbean, when you go to South America.
