Is there something in particular you think that could be done differently or that you're hoping to advocate for?
If you're looking for a candidate that has kind of the five bullet points, I tell people I'm probably not exactly your candidate.
I'm not someone that comes in saying the board needs to do X, Y, and Z to accomplish these things.
I look at the board as a governance committee that is supposed to oversee the policy and budgets of the district.
And I think it's important to have people from a broad variety of perspectives that have that.
If I'm being honest, when I was a kid, I remember hearing stories about my grandfather serving on a school board.
And so I always looked at it as something, kind of a community service thing that people should do to be involved with their community
