What matters is have you made relationships with the people that come into your business and give your business money? And why do I keep coming back to this? Because I do think, especially when we see an economic change, I'm coming back to this because this is the space where most people kind of get caught up and they want to be distracted to actually from the truth.

And I will be very clear with you because I know estheticians that have their businesses, they either have a team or they're working solo and they are booked and busy.

Oh, we're heading into quarter three, heading into quarter four, and it's going to pick up at the end of the year.

our business is in relationships most businesses are in relationships and if you listen to people whether it's on a podcast it's on tick tock or instagram anything on social media when someone has said that they have gotten a lot of success it's been very good at creating relationships with people And as much as we want to say as estheticians, we enjoy being able to have the client come in, have them be quiet, sit down, close their lips, close their eyes, take some deep breaths, and then let it just lay out, right? As much as we like that, we still have to create and cultivate amazing relationships in order for our business to thrive.

And you have to get out of that mindset of thinking the more people you have, the more you're going to get money.

So there isn't a space where you are actually seeing the more followers you have, the more money you make.

It comes from building relationships and also being willing to build the relationship.

I'll never forget when I started with an esthetician and we started coaching and I actually asked this really simple question to her, you know, do you feel if I were to go to three of your top playing clients, would they feel that you were in a relationship with them or would you feel that it was transactional? And I have a podcast in one of my 214 episodes where I talk about estheticians who are relegating their customers to transactions instead of building relationships.

And so when I asked her, she actually admitted and said, I would say of the top three, maybe one, maybe two would say that we're very transactional.

But the relationship that you build with people and you build with your clients is not.

And if you want more transactions, you got to be better at building relationships, right? And that goes hand in hand.

And see, the problem is is that we're so busy comparing ourselves to other brands that we don't even pay attention to the basic things that we need in order for our business to be successful.
