So on that note, this is our emotionally devastating podcast, and we did ask a couple of weeks ago for people to, on social media, for people to send in recommendations of, like, emotionally devastating books.
And actually, I think what I did personally, I just picked the ones that I've kind of been wanting to read for a while but just never have, and probably wouldn't have gotten round to otherwise, to be honest.
Um, so popular kind of ones.
And they were ones that were actually in the recommendations video in the comments as well quite often, to be fair, but I didn't a- I didn't actually end up going into the comments and handpicking, like, an extra book from there for this podcast specifically.
I think I just had loads.
Although I will say I did add in the Liv Xander Heartstrings duet last minute, and really I probably could have gone back and picked a book from that, uh, from that video from the comments, but because that's, like, doing the rounds on social media at the minute, I was like, "Oh, fuck it."
Yeah
"Actually, I'm gonna read that," 'cause I've seen everyone crying and saying it was beautiful, so I thought, "Fuck it.
I know I'm gonna cry.
Like, I know it's gonna be devastating, so let's just do it." Yeah, and I dunno about you, did you just pick ones from your TBR? Did you pick any from the comments?
So one of mine was in my 12 for 12, and I already knew that people were crying about it, so I was like, sold.
Uh, the other one was actually in the comments a lot, and that had also been on my TBR for ages, and I've been talk- wanging on about you know which one for so fucking long-
Mm
... that it just, it's come at a really good time.
And then my other one I did pick out the comments.
I can't remember who suggested it, but, um, yeah, I think it's new.
I think it's only just come out.
Oh, that's good.
So yeah.
Yep, indeedy.
Tears do be flowing.
Oh, the tear, the tears were flowing.
So one of my books I didn't actually cry at.
I didn't even shed a single tear.
I'll obviously talk about it when I get to it, but I actually don't have that much to say about it.
