Forget January: September Is the Perfect Time for a Reset

So anyway, for years, September meant new teachers, new classrooms, right? New clothes.

I think we did either a podcast about this last year or, you know, we did some kind of like end of year reset challenge about, you know, new routines, kids getting older.

And even though we're not going back to school, that feeling doesn't completely leave us.

So, you know, September, I feel like for a lot of people, brings back, like, back to business.

That kind of, like, shoot, there's only four months left of the year.

Now, I look at my goal setting, right? And realizing, like, January, you thought you had 12 months, right? I'm like, I'm going to lose 25 pounds or, you know, I'm going to, I mean, I don't really make goals like that at the beginning of the year, but

I'm

going to retire.

I say that every year.

Wow.

Let me know.

But it's

September.

You're like, oh, wow, I have four months left.

Like, where am I?

Right.

You know, with the rest of the year.

And, you know, some people may feel this way.

Some people may not feel this way.

But I personally feel like September is better than January for goal setting because, you know, you can create small, manageable, achievable, realistic goals.

Rather than December, for January, you're creating those big goals.

That then can

feel overwhelming.

Right.
