Episode 199: Mature Bucks Hit Different w/ Joe Miles

So before we get into it with Joe, you guys know I have to talk about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Um, man, I have to...

You know, what he's been doing in my life lately, I, I've been seeing it a lot.

I was on the phone with my buddy Denzel today from church, and, you know, we were just talking about hunting season and, and, and kind of some things that are coming up, and it's just, it's crazy.

Which, shout out, Denzel, you're an awesome dude.

Uh, freaking love you, man.

And Josh, Pastor Josh, you're awesome, too.

[laughs] Um, but no, it's, it's just crazy, like, the community that's been coming around me and my family, um, since we started going to Solid Rock Church, and, uh, man, I just...

You know, it, it, it's seeing, [sighs] seeing the Lord working through them in my life and seeing how he's working in my life for other people, it just, it, I'm so thankful, you know? And there's times where I'll sit here and, and be like, you know, "Oh, well, Jesus does this, Jesus does that," but sometimes I ask myself, "What can I do for Jesus?" Everybody says you don't need to do anything for him, right? Or, or he can do all things, and it, it is true.

It says in the Bible, "All things are possible with God." Um, but you know, I still, there's still times that I'm like, "Lord, how can I serve you better? How can I serve other people better?" And that's just some things I've been thinking about lately.

Um, that's not to come off and say like, "Oh, I'm holier than thou." I'm not.

I'm a sinner just like everybody else.

Uh, I need Christ more and more every single day.

Um, but knowing that fact and knowing that he is, he's there always, it, it's very, it, it brings a lot of peace.

Um, so I, man, I, I'm just so thankful, uh, the way he's changed my life and, like, how he's directed our family and, and the things that are...

I, I know this is gonna sound selfish, but the things that are happening this deer season, it's all because of him.

Um, man, you know, this podcast is for the Lord.

That's why I do this.

I don't do this for any other reason than to try and bring people to Jesus through hunting.

Um, it's something that I know and is important to me, and Jesus is the most important thing.

So, um, man, all right, that's my breacher moment.
