Control Resonant is a game that I cannot wait to play this year. The world of the Remedyverse is so strange yet lovely and now we get to explore Manhattan through the eyes of Dylan Faden. I got to preview Control Resonant and speak with Dylan's actor, Sean Durrie, about how he gets into the character, what he's most excited for players to see in his story, and how much of the game he's played!

Re-introducing Dylan & His Rebirth1:30 – 3:00

1:30

I mean, I'm sure people

S

Stella ChungHost

1:31

know who you are, but if you could introduce yourself and how you're involved in the Control universe.

1:36

Sure.

1:37

My name is Sean Dury and I play Dylan Faden in Control Resonant.

S

Stella ChungHost

1:40

This is cool.

S

Stella ChungHost

1:41

Okay.

S

Stella ChungHost

1:42

Yeah.

S

Stella ChungHost

1:42

So we were talking a little bit.

S

Stella ChungHost

1:44

Your character in Control 1 looked very different from how he is now.

S

Stella ChungHost

1:47

So what can we expect from his journey?

1:51

there is kind of a rebirth to his humanity.

1:55

Because for fans of the first game, they would know, like, I was possessed in the original control by the Hiss.

2:00

Like, he was, something else was inside of him.

2:02

And then he went into a coma for the last seven years.

2:05

And so when he's waking up, he's kind of discovering again what it is to human and what it is as well to be outside.

2:14

We're taking it outside of the oldest house.

2:15

And Dylan has been inside the oldest house since he was 10 years old.

S

Stella ChungHost

2:19

Yeah, that's a long time to not be outside.

S

Stella ChungHost

2:22

And now the outside is all screwed up.

S

Stella ChungHost

2:24

So I do like that it's kind of an inverse of first, Jesse was looking for you and like you specifically, right?

2:31

Yeah.

S

Stella ChungHost

2:33

And now I think there's the element of like, well, where is she? We have no idea where she is.

S

Stella ChungHost

2:37

So how does it feel to kind of take over that role?

2:40

That's really fun.

2:44

And we really wanted to get across, we're telling a gigantic story.
