I'm going to share the story from Mark, chapter five, verses 24 to 34, where a woman reaches out to touch Jesus and is healed.

Picture yourself with Jesus and his followers making your way through a busy town.

The streets are narrow and it's difficult to make progress through the people, the carts and the donkeys.

You are walking a little way behind Jesus when you see a woman reaching out and touching the edge of his clothes.

A moment later, Jesus turns to the crowd and asks, Who touched my clothes? The disciple nearest to him says, Look at all these people crowding around you.

How can you ask who touched you? But we have come to a halt and Jesus is not moving on.

It seems that she has been to many doctors and they have done nothing but cause her a lot of pain.

She tells how that having heard about Jesus and seeing him in the crowd, she thought, if I can just touch his clothes, I will get well.

She described how as soon as she touched him, she had felt herself healed and knew that she was well.

Having received his blessing, she soon disappears from sight as the crowd moves on noisily once more.

As we get level with a narrow side street, Jesus turns into it, calls you to follow him.

As you walk up this side street with Jesus, the noise from the main street dies slowly away.

Spotting some stone steps, Jesus invites you to sit down with him and share whatever it is on your mind, whatever is on your heart.
