generally when I have been hiring a role at a senior level I'm looking for someone who's going to work full-time and that's not to say I haven't hired someone who is part-time or wants to work flexibly have definitely done that and have definitely promoted someone into a senior role who works part-time or flexibly but I do think it is a hard ask when you are coming in cold and you don't know an organization and an employer that well it is tricky.
It's really tricky and we're applying the lens of someone who is hiring senior people.
So I hope this is really helpful to our audience, but we are looking for exceptional in those instances.
Absolutely believe in flexible work and that men shouldn't be getting all the great jobs because they don't necessarily have the responsibilities that go with raising a family.
I think that it is absolutely possible for a senior woman looking for a senior role to get those jobs, but they are going to have to be exceptional and they are also going to have to, I think, keep stock of whether they are bringing the impact to the business.
And I think the best hires are the ones that are checking in and saying, are you seeing the impact? Am I making a difference? And if you tick those boxes, then I think you have a winning formula for getting those roles.
