Well, you know, this is interesting because last season, in season nine, we did an episode called 100 Pounds.

That was episode 445, and we looked through the canon at various instances of the 100-pound note, and particularly with respect to a lot of the con jobs that happened, people were promised 100 pounds, either as an annual salary or as a specific amount outright.

So I thought it might be interesting for us to up the ante, as it were, and track those other times in the canon when we see 1,000 pounds mentioned.

So I guess we should start by framing this just in terms of the value of money, right? Have

If we were to take, let's say, the canonical year 1895 and plop ourselves down and give ourselves 1,000 pounds in 1895, that would be the equivalent in 2026.
