Jade SmithGuestAnd every quarter, I think I've told you guys this before, but every quarter I usually take time to reflect and look at what worked in the last quarter, what's been working this past year, but also looking at what isn't working.
And if you're a heart-centered leader like me, sometimes getting real with yourself and looking at what isn't working is more difficult than dreaming about what you want to do and adding more and la la la it's hard to kind of be like okay this is not working and what that means that clarity usually means you need to confront something i did an episode just a shameless plug i did an episode a couple months back about how confrontation is your next level and i fully believe that so if you haven't listened to that i encourage you to maybe go check it out But what I'm wanting to say is there might be some things going on that you are meant to eliminate in order to expand in this last quarter of 2026, which is just mind blowing to me.
So that's kind of what I want to talk to you about today because I think that there are some of us here that just really need to get real with ourselves about what's working and what isn't.
And so I just want to pose a couple questions to you and think about this because you cannot make room for the new while protecting everything from the old.
I mean, I know I say that to my kids when it's like, okay, guys, I mean, right now we're coming to the end of the summer.
I, I looked at my, um, my baking dishes, my pans, not pans, you know, the things you put cookies on baking sheet, cooking cookie sheet, cookie sheet.
Um, and i was like i'm just this just sucks like it's it's old it's got stains on it it's just old i literally just chucked it in the trash i was like that's it i'm getting new baking sheets cooking sheets whatever they're called i'm just getting it i'm just i'm done i'm not doing it anymore um that felt easy sometimes like you know we really love something and it's hard to let it go like when i'm telling my kids like that doesn't fit you anymore It doesn't fit you.
It could be a service that you used to offer, a client that you've outgrown, a relationship or a partnership, a role that you have been playing, whether that's in your home or in your business.
What got you to where you are isn't going to get you to where God's trying to take you.
What's the habit that you need to eliminate in order to expand? An obligation, usually just that in general, if we feel obligated and it's stealing our energy, right? It's not something that we really feel called to in this season.
