Emily JacobsGuestMelissa HughesHostThere's like the pendulum of women that are not satisfied or kind of hide behind the season of motherhood when like they have stuff that they want to do, but maybe use motherhood as an excuse not to do it.
And then we have the other spectrum where we have women that are like the boss babes right and they're all like not really prioritizing their family or allowing their business to crowd out family or their children or whatever and so i had a conversation with someone recently and she had such a great distinction she said there's a difference between being a boss babe and being activated by god and then there's a difference between god calling you into a season where you're you are a mom and that is what he's called you to versus you, you're a mom, but you know, he's trying to activate you in something else.
And you're choosing to kind of abdicate that it's like these two pendulums, you know what I'm talking about?

know, for me, there was this, like, it's, it, To me, it's a seven-year-old little dreamer and she lives inside of me, which is interesting because now I have an eight and a five-year-old.

Like seriously, I'm like, I love you both, but what answers do you possibly need at seven in the morning? Anyway, they're wild.

But... you know it just like the seven-year-old little dreamer inside of me here you know here's the sad part and i think i've told this a couple times and now i'm like a little more open about it but when i had my first daughter at 38 years old um dream come true right that was that was it i had no other dreams melissa in an audience like that i was like i met all the other dreams all the other things i wanted to accomplish and do were done this was it this was the ultimate this is the longest dream and when she was born unfortunately, eight weeks later, sleep deprived.

Like what happens to me? What do I do? Who do I become? And people around me were like, you're a mom.

And like, but what else? And so it was such a push and pull because it sounded ungrateful.
